Impulse power sources (IIP) quickly are replaced by outdated linear power sources due to their high performance, improved voltage stabilization and small dimensions. The book discusses in detail the fundamental theoretical principles and methods of designing impulse power sources and information is given, the knowledge of which will not only help engineers to optimize the choice of serial power sources for their projects, but will also allow them to develop their own original IIP schemes. The book is focused on readers who want to get deeper into the essence of the work of impulse power sources and their design, without climbing into the mathematical "wilds". Particular attention is paid to the choice of relevant components, such as throttle and transformers, taking into account the safe and reliable operation of the IIP schemes. On the example of the original projects proposed by the author, certain compromises are illustrated, which must be resorted to when developing impulse power sources.
