The monograph contains many years of research by the author in the field of fatigue strength and reliability of metals and structures. Based on the theory of fragile bodies, the theory of large -scale effect in the statistical sense is formulated and methods for assessing the resistance of fatigue of large -sized details have been developed. The concept of quasi -soil loading has been introduced, in which the shape of the fatigue curve is invariant.
