The training manual sets out the foundations of power industrial electronics. The main types of modern power semiconductor devices are considered: diodes, transistors, thyristors. The principles of constructing the main types of power semiconductor converters - controlled rectifiers, voltage regulators, frequency converters, filter compensating devices are set out. The main attention is paid to the use of semiconductor converters in the electric drive technique and in power supply systems.
