A number of basic issues related to the operation of rolling bearings are considered. Illuminated issues of input control, assembly and disassembly of bearings. The analysis of the tasks arising from the use of plastic and liquid lubricants. General rules for leaving and supervision of rolling bearings are given, including technical diagnostic issues. Classification of damage to the rolling bearings to solve the problems of the genesis and determining the causes of malfunctions of industrial equipment on the basis of a visual inspection of the parts of the bearings is proposed. The main causes of bore damage were established in case of violation of their lubrication.
