If in the first part of the practical guide to modeling communication systems in Matlab there are basic information about working with a package of expansion of Communications Toolbox and general approaches to building elements of a communication system, then the second part of the book is devoted to a number of special issues. The most effective noise -resistant channel codes used in modern wireless systems are considered. The analysis of the current digital and analog types of modulation was carried out. Particular attention is paid to the assessment of the effectiveness of the functioning of communication systems for such traditional indicators as the likelihood of a bit and symbolic error. The book presents methods of assessment by well -known analytical expressions and by constructing simulation models, as well as options for automation of evaluating communication systems in the signal/interference ratio. The study of these materials will certainly expand the competence of students, engineers and scientists in the field of telecommunication systems
