The book discusses linear microwave devices, including methods for their analysis. The first chapters of the book describe the theory of microwave chains. They describe the transition from an electrodynamic approach to chain. The concepts of equivalent voltage and current, reflection coefficients and standing wave, input resistance and load resistance are introduced. The properties of a circular diagram of complete resistances are described, scattering matrices and other wave matrices are introduced. The book describes the methods of analyzing complex microwave devices based on decomposition algorithms.
Subsequent chapters describe the main types of linear microwave chains, starting from single -playing devices that coordinate four -players, filters, dividers and power dimensions, directed branches and ending with multi -ip compounds. The properties of ferrites and segotoelectrics are also considered, including spin and magnetostatic waves in volumetric samples and in thin films, as well as devices based on them.
