The classification of methods for evaluating diagnostic information at theoretical, heuristic and empirical levels is presented. The intellectual systems of test and functional diagnostic methods are considered. The methods for determining the technical condition of cars by standard, masks, the composition of the exhaust gases and regulatory diagnostic parameters are highlighted. Vibro -acoustic methods of monitoring the state of technical systems, software, logical and automated methods are described. Methods of monitoring the state of electrical and electronic systems of cars, hydraulic drives, rubbing parts and lubricating ability of oils are set out.
