Methods of mathematical and computer modeling are presented to study thermal processes occurring in a continuous ingot during its movement in the crystallizer area and in the secondary cooling zone, as well as thermal processes in the work wall of the crystallizer. New scientifically based technical solutions were set out to study and improve the organization of the thermotechnical part of the process of pouring metals in continuous casting machines and methods of improving the quality of metallurgical products.
