The training manual examines the classification of fabrics for clothing and is given systematization of fabrics according to the all -Russian classifier of products (OKP) The nomenclature of tissue quality indicators is presented, a methodology for determining the tissue code is given. The main types of fabrics are considered, their characteristic distinctive features are given.
