Book 1 textbook consists of two parts. Part I describes the structure of metal, non -metallic and composite materials. The technologies of the production of metal materials are considered: metallurgical production of ferrous and non -ferrous metals, powder metallurgy, technologies for obtaining non -metallic materials: polymers, glass, graphite, technology for obtaining composite materials, including semi -finished products, premes, premiums.
Part II is devoted to methods of studying the properties of materials. Metal materials, technologies for their hardening, chemical-thermal treatment, plastic deformation are considered. The features of organic and inorganic non -metallic materials are given, as well as the possibility of changing their properties. Compositional materials are widely covered, areas of their rational use are shown. The chapter 14 was processed, in which intellectual materials are considered.
