The systems for managing electric drives of well pumps for oil production are considered. The types of pumps, their device and the principle of action, the used electric drives are investigated. Particular attention is paid to the automation of the work of borehole pumps based on dynamometry and wattmetrixing methods. The issues of automation of electrical centers pumping plants are highlighted. A review of submersible telemetry systems is given. The use of valve engines for the drive of electrical center pumps is considered.
