The training manual sets out the issues of using machines and mechanisms for a comprehensive mechanization of work in forestry during forestry on cutting and cutting care, for work in forest nurseries, as well as for harvesting fruits and their processing. The methodology for calculating the traction resistance of forestry machines and their aggregation with tractors of various classes of traction is given. For research, Excel, PLP-88 and Mathsad-14 systems are used.
Methods of combating forest fires, with pests and diseases of the forest are considered. The main characteristics of tractors and forestry machines, the rules for recruiting and preparing for the operation of machine-tractor units, brief information on the organization of maintenance and repair of machines are given.
