The necessary information about agricultural machines as an object of construction has been set out, issues of organizing designing parts of machines and mechanisms are considered, the basics of the theory and calculation of parts and assembly units of general purposes are described. Attention was paid to information and patent licensed search, standardization and normalization of products, the formation of the reliability of machines during design. Examples of calculation of gears, shafts, bearing components, detachable and inexhaustible joints are given.
