The results of theoretical and experimental studies of two -phase jet devices and gas ejectors with sound and supersonic nozzles are set out. A general theory is proposed, based on the thermodynamics of irreversible processes and explaining from a single position the processes that occur in them. The physical features of the course of both two -phase and gas environments in the running part of the apparatus are considered. The axiom is formulated about the desire for perfection of processes in nature, which determines from the standpoint of irreversible processes the implementation of one of several possible operating modes of both single -phase gas and two -phase jet apparatus. Methods of calculating two -phase jet devices of ejector and injector types and gas ejectors with cylindrical and conical mixing cameras are given. The prospects of the use of these devices in the oil and gas, oil refining and petrochemical industries, in energy, space and deep -sea technology are shown.
The book is intended for scientists and engineers involved in research, design and operation of jet apparatuses. It can be useful to graduate students and students of technical universities and universities
