The monograph presents modern data on the state of iodine prevention in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries. The main attention is paid to the study of the mechanisms of complexing of inorganic forms of iodine with biodegraded polysaccharides using modern methods of physico-chemical analysis-IK-, UV and IAMR-spectroscopy. The results of the study of dispersion, technological, rheological, antioxidant properties and physiological activity of iodine-containing biologically active additives based on polysaccharides of natural genesis-low molecular weight chitosan and NM-B-Gellan Comedy are given.
