The use of Badelite is especially important in the framework of the import substitution program and increase the competitiveness of domestic products. The book summarizes data on the possible chemical composition, crystalline and microstructure, as well as the properties of ceramic materials based on zirconium dioxide. The most developed technologies for obtaining these ceramic and composites based on them are considered. Particular attention is paid to the state and prospects of the practical use of zirconium ceramic in the Russian Federation. The monograph consists of four parts, each of which illuminates a certain area of issues related to ceramic materials. A detailed comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of ceramics based on zirconium dioxide with existing analogues. The authors give a number of original results in the synthesis and study of the physicomechanical properties of nanostructural engineering zirconium ceramic based on domestic raw materials-a natural mineral of a baddeel, which is 6-7 times cheaper than traditional zirconium raw materials (synthetic zirconium dioxide), now purchased abroad. The book is written by a team of authors with experience in the field of creating, research and implementation of materials and products based on both chemically pure zirconium dioxide and natural badelis with impurities. The working group includes specialists - material scholars and technologists representing two companies - the Research Institute of Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials of the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavina and the joint Russian - American enterprise LLC Zircoa -Rus - a division of Zircoa Inc., which has been developing and making products based on zirconium dioxide for 65 years and is currently a leader in the production of a wide range of products for various industries . The mission of Zircoa-Rus LLC consists in the supply of high-class zirconium ceramics, which will allow Russian industry to expand the boundaries of existing technologies. The book will be interesting to a wide range of readers: from students of natural and scientific specialties to engineers, technologists and medical workers related to the practical use of zirconium ceramics.
