The theory of monochromatic aberrations of the 3rd Order (spherical aberration, coma, astigmatism, curvature of images, dystorsia), primary chromatism (chromatism, chromatism of increased) and secondary chromatism (secondary spectrum, spherochromatism) is described. The concepts, basic formulas, graphs of each of the aberrations, the causes of their occurrence, the impact on the quality of the optical image and methods of their elimination are given.
