The textbook is devoted to the issue of modern material science - a rational and scientifically based choice of materials used in the manufacture of various types of sewing products. The basic principles, tasks and the organization of counterfeiting materials, the connection of the fractionation with marketing and the quality of clothing are considered, the issues of firmation of materials for certain groups and types of clothing are highlighted, the requirements for the properties of materials are formulated and information on their assortment for specific types of products is given, and the main assortments of groups are given All types of materials (textile and non -teenic), which are currently used in the production of clothing. The application includes a section on the organization of a business game in the focus of materials, the implementation of which will contribute to the development of students of a creative integrated approach to solving practical problems, consolidating the knowledge gained.
