The monograph is devoted to issues of theoretical understanding and practical application of Estoppel in civil proceedings. The history of the concept of “Estoppel” and the development of theoretical ideas about the classical Estopple as the rule of proof and Estoppel as an institution of substantive law, due to the development of English law, are considered. The concept and content of the phenomenon called “estoppel” (“procedural estoppel”) in domestic civil proceedings, as well as theoretical and practical problems that arise in this regard, are investigated.
