The issues of ensuring the safety of hydraulic structures are considered. The analysis of the most common causes of emergency situations was proposed, and methods for minimizing the risks of their occurrence were proposed.
The results of the theoretical and experimental studies of the author are described in detail dedicated to the calculation of parameters of water -cross structures based on semi -emptirical methods and equations of two -phase flow. Based on the data obtained, the characteristics of devices that provide stable vortex movement of water are proposed. Recommendations are given on the organization of an effective operating mode of water circles. New designs of open and mine types are proposed, improved circuit circuits are given. Many of the described designs and schemes are protected by security documents and implemented at the current hydraulic facilities.
For hydraulic engineers and designers of hydraulic structures, as well as for graduate students and students of hydropower specialties
