The monograph is the first part of a comprehensive study devoted to the aspects of the operationalization of targeted climatic guidelines taken by the world community. The authors made an attempt to separate the "political component of the" process of the energy transition and impartially assess the real prospects of the processes of the decarbonization based on the development of renewables. The proposed model of the captivity of the future - non -carbon generation (Carbon Free Generation, CFG - English) - involves two key segments: basic generation (BCFG) based on nuclear power plants and peak generation (PCFG) due to the use of renewable wind and solar energy. As a result, it will achieve a large climatic goal by 2050 and limit an increase in the global temperature up to 1.5 ° C in accordance with the tasks of the Paris Agreement. On the way to "cool tomorrow", the authors examine the script of the nuclear renaissance, in which a four-fold increase in the volume of BCFG generation is expected.
