Information on the main areas of energy conservation in agriculture is contained. The basic concepts and regulatory documents in the field of energy conservation are considered. Engineering solutions and practical recommendations for the construction, ventilation and heat supply of country houses and agricultural premises have been systematized. Examples of calculation of the heat loss of the enclosing structures and methods of their insulation are given. Electricity losses in networks of 0.4–10 kV and measures to reduce them are indicated. General ideas about traditional and alternative ways of obtaining and using energy in agriculture are given.
