The theoretical foundations of the design and functioning of enantioselective chemical and biological sensors are set out, examples of their practical application are given. The capabilities of the sensors in solving the problems of chemistry, biology, medicine, pharmaceutical analysis are considered. Much attention is paid to new directions in the design and use of enantioselective sensors - the use of carbon and composite materials based on fullerenes, graphene and nanotubes, metals, ionic liquids, biomaterials, polymaterials, self -organizing and multi -electronic language systems, detecting optically clean compounds in biological fluids and drugs.
