The training manual sets out issues related to the electrochemistry of molten salts (ion melts), which is the theoretical basis for the production of a large number of metals - aluminum, magnesium, lithium, sodium, calcium, zirconium and others. Ion melts are used in the refinement of a number of metals, the synthesis of refractory compounds, the production of nanomaterials, in energy transformation systems. In a brief form, the physicochemical and thermodynamic properties of molten salts, the features of electrochemical kinetics, electrolysis processes, chemical current sources using molten electrolytes are considered in a brief form.
A textbook is intended for university students studying such objects as" metallurgy of light metals", "metallurgy of rare metals"," applied electrochemistry ", in the preparation of bachelors and masters in the areas of “non -ferrous metallurgy" and "technology of electrochemical production"
