The textbook sets out the basics of an electric drive. The appointment and implementation of electric drives with direct and alternating current engines, their circuit, characteristics, energy modes, methods of regulating variable electric drive in the established and transition modes are considered. Brief information is given on the elemental base of electric drives, as well as data from the theory of automatic regulation. The open and closed circuits of electric drive controls are considered and examples of schemes for automation of technological processes, as well as issues of designing electric drives, energy and energy conservation in electric drive and electric drives are given. The presentation of theoretical material is accompanied by examples of solving typical problems, tasks for independent solution and control issues.
