The general principles of creating special chassis of transport and technological machines and complexes, the conditions for their use and the main operational properties, the features of the layout and device are set out. Particular attention is paid to the design of special motor systems: the analysis of the existing designs of pneumatic, caterpillar and rotary-screw movements, as well as movers who provide the required waterproof qualities of special chassis. The methodology for justifying the choice of the mover of the designed chassis is proposed. Current trends in the development of the chassis of special transport and technological machines for working on weak soils are described, new areas of their use, as well as the prospects for creating autonomous robotics transport and technological complexes and mobile robots designed to work at the bottom of the ocean or on the surface of the planets of the solar system.
