The book is devoted to the urgent problem of reducing the vibrations of structures due to the use of coatings from polymeric materials. Highly effective methods of reducing vibrations are considered by applying mechanical systems of coatings from polymeric materials with high vibration -absorbing properties. Methods of calculating the vibrational characteristics of the thin -leaf elements of structures damped by rigid and soft constrained polymer vibro -absorbing coatings are presented.
The totality of the solved tasks presented in the book, brought to working methods, significantly expands the possibilities of their use in engineering practice, and in theoretically they are a logical continuation of the research of G.S. Piscorenko, V.V. Khilchevsky, etc. on the problem, associated with dissipation of energy in structural materials.
