The classification and features of the structure of composite materials with a metal matrix for various purposes are presented. Particular attention is paid to compositional materials with an aluminum matrix, the advantages and disadvantages of these materials are shown, their structure and mechanical properties are reflected. The main methods of obtaining welded joints of composite materials with a metal matrix are shown and the properties of compounds are given. The areas of optimal parameters of the welding mode of these composite materials are determined. Much attention is paid to obtaining compositional coatings on the surface of metal materials of various functional purposes.
