Basics of designing actuating mechanisms for propulsion systems of aircraft

The textbook proposes a systematic approach to the construction of executive mechanisms of drive systems of aircraft, including the construction of the architecture of kinematic, structural and structural schemes, as well as the choice of the elemental composition of the executive mechanisms used in aviation equipment and other areas, which consider the tasks of minimizing mass -body indicators and layout of these mechanisms in a given limited volume. The morphological synthesis of the constructive-kinematic schemes of the executive mechanisms is proposed with the subsequent calculation of their main parameters that determine their static and dynamic characteristics and affect the overall dimensions. An analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various types of electro-, pneumatic and hydraulic residents and various types of mechanical gears is presented. Their basic constructive dependencies and calculation methods are given with minimizing the overall dimensions of the actuators. A comparative analysis of the relative volumes of various types of mechanical programs used as an output pair of gearbox depending on the gear ratio.
Called mathematical models are compiled, including the inertia and rigidity of the links, as well as the backlash in mechanical transmission, to evaluate the dynamics of the drive system as a whole. Examples of calculation of dimensions of executive mechanisms with minimized parameters are given.
