The aim of the textbook is the formation of knowledge, skills in the discipline "Automation of the shipping", which is part of the training plan in the specialty of higher education "navigation". The achievement of this goal is decided by the presentation of theoretical foundations of the automation of the navigation, accompanied by specific examples from practice. The content of the publication corresponds to the current Federal State Educational Standard for the Training of Superior Engineers.
The training manual was also compiled taking into account the qualification requirements of the A-II /1 Code of the PDNV-78 "Code of the PDNV-78" Mandatory minimal requirements for the certification of the shuttle assistants of the captain of the Courts with a gross capacity of 500 or more ".
It is recommended in the Higher Education system for the enlarged group of specialties and areas of training 26.00.00 - "Technique and technology of shipbuilding and water transport" as a training manual for the implementation of the main professional educational program of higher education in the specialty 26.05 - "navigation "
