Features of the construction of asynchronous electric drives of mountain machines based on the use of malentile thyristor switches are considered. The results of the process of processes in the system of "thyristor switch - asynchronous engine" with a phase regulation of supply voltage and power supply with a quasi -asy -eide voltage of a fixed reduced frequency, as well as in emergency functioning modes. Particular attention is paid to the impact of the EMF of the rotation of the electric machine on the processes in the Tyristor switch - asynchronous engine. Functional control units and protection of the asynchronous magnificent thyristor electric drive of a mountain machine were considered issues related to ensuring the permissible thermal state of power semiconductor devices when they are placed in the mining explosion -proof building of the power switching apparatus based on the use of natural convective water cooling.
