General characteristics of emissions into the atmosphere of coke production, determination of one of the main criteria for technosphere safety - environmental risk are given. The methodology of quantitative assessment of ecological risk is presented from each source of production activities of a coke -chemical enterprise, which made it possible to identify the most dangerous and harmful sources of production and substantiate the methods and means of protection against them. The methodology of calculated monitoring of emissions into the atmosphere from each source of capacitive equipment according to the most significant components of the contained product is presented. The system of complex protection of workers from exposure to emissions into the atmosphere is scientifically substantiated, a number of methods and means of protecting the production environment from gaseous emissions into the atmosphere of coke production are presented.
