This work shows the fallacy of the hypothesis, adopted unconditionally in all publications for the control of the performance of products, which states that the product with parameters in admission is completely efficient and reliable and loses these qualities only when it goes beyond the admission of at least one of the parameters. On this hypothesis, in essence, the entire modern system of the so -called tolerance control of products is built.
However, in fact, the product that has a parameter on the edge of the tolerance is already "weakened" and is not completely efficient. But the admission control does not notice this, and the product continues to be operated as if nothing had happened. This, in particular, explains many "mysterious" accidents and catastrophes" of completely serviceable aircraft.
The book proposes a new type of assessment of product performance --- Integral control, free from the shortcomings of traditional admission control. This method is appropriate primarily to control the responsible and expensive products of industrial and military purposes, for example, in nuclear energy and military aviation.
This work is essentially also a natural basis for building a system of maintenance as of condition, in particular for military aviation.
The book is addressed to a wide range of engineering and technical workers, employees of technical services of enterprises, institutes and design bureaus
