Application of siderite ores in the production of pig iron and steel

General information about the resources of the raw materials of the Bakalsky deposit is given, the reserves of the iron ores of the Bakal ore field are evaluated. The chemical and mineralogical compositions of siderites of the main deposits, the results of studies of changes in the physicochemical and metallurgical properties of siderites in the process of heat treatment are presented in order to determine the parameters of strengthening and restoration firing. Industrial experience has been considered and the effectiveness of the use of siderites in domain smelting is evaluated, the possibility of their use in steeling production in various methods of their preparation is determined.
