Recommended by the NMS on theoretical mechanics as a training manual for students and graduate students of machine-building and physical and technical universities
This manual corresponds to the content of the discipline “Analytical dynamics and theory of oscillations” and consists of three parts: the first part set forth the basic concepts of analytical mechanics, differential principles of mechanics and the equations of movement, including the canonical equations of Hamilton, in the second and third parts the theory is settled linear and nonlinear vibrations of mechanical systems with the final number of degrees of freedom. Qualitative methods of analyzing nonlinear systems and close methods of their calculation are considered. The presentation is illustrated by examples. The book is intended for university students studying in the areas of training and specialties included in the UGC: “Electro and heat power”, “Mechanical engineering”, “Physical and technical sciences and technologies”, “Material technologies” and other engineering and technical areas. It may be useful to graduate students and teachers of physical, technical and engineering and physical universities, as well as engineers and scientists as a reference manual and as an introduction to independent study of issues that are not covered in the manual, on the literature list given in the book
