The basic information about the methods for evaluating and analyzing the effectiveness of missile and artillery weapons systems at the development stage, including on the results of field tests. The general issues of optimizing the characteristics of the developed weapons are being considered. It is shown that the solution to this problem is possible only on the basis of decomposition of the problem, when the optimization of parameters is carried out in parts, starting from a lower level of the criterion of efficiency.
