This is the first monograph about the prominent Russian and Soviet aviation designer Dmitry Pavlovich Grigorovich. It became known in the second decade of the 20th century, its flying boats M-5 and M-9 during the First World War were justifiably considered one of the best samples of hydroaviation. In the Soviet period, Grigorovich continued to design both land and sea aircraft. The book tells about the life and creative path of the designer, about successes and failures in the creation of new aircraft. The work contains a large number of previously unknown documents and illustrations.
