The directions of the development of welding technology in the solid -phase state of structural materials are considered. The theoretical foundations of the interaction of homogeneous and heterogeneous materials in conditions of activation effects of the environment are set out. The influence of the existing types of the section of materials on the formation of the structure and relief of the surface and the processes of adsorption and desorption of pollution on this surface has been investigated.
