This textbook is designed for students who are beginning to learn Spanish from scratch and focuses on the use of the communicative teaching method. It combines the advantages of domestic Spanish language schools with advanced methods of active learning. The goal of the textbook is to help students develop speaking skills and acquire vocabulary, as well as to learn basic grammar topics necessary for everyday communication and for understanding spoken language and texts in a relatively short period of time. The main emphasis in the book is on practical mastery of the Spanish language. Grammar is presented not as an end in itself, but as a tool to learn the language for communication. Exercises are designed in a way that allows students to practice both vocabulary and grammar. After each lesson, a communicative task is proposed, where lexical and grammatical topics are involved in conversation. In some lessons, games precede the introduction of new material and are intended for vocabulary review. The textbook includes both adapted literary texts and cultural texts that help familiarize students with some aspects of modern Spanish life.
