This book is a continuation of Part 1 of the textbook by the same author. It covers both the theoretical foundations of the basic course of elementary mathematics in sections such as 'Systems of Equations and Inequalities', 'Problems involving Equations and Inequalities: Word Problems', 'Numerical Sequences. Arithmetic and Geometric Progressions', 'Elements of Set Theory and Mathematical Logic', as well as a large number of problems related to these sections. The book includes over 250 solved examples, as well as a nearly complete list of math problems (with solutions, around 500 problems) from the past 10 years and earlier, which were offered in entrance exams at Moscow State University in all faculties where mathematics is required.
