The textbook outlines the basics of calculations and designing electromechanical drives of metal-cutting machines. The characteristics of the drive electric motors are considered, the method of determining friction losses in the main drives and drive drives, as well as the power of the drive motor in the drives of the machines.
The methods of developing kinematic schemes of designed drives with a stepped and stepless adjustment of the frequency of rotation are presented. Prepared step boxes with a normal structure and structure other than normal. The method of kinematic design of stepped boxes is proposed.
