This book is a material designed for theoretical training of users of modern software designed for calculating, modeling and designing microwave structures of modern radio systems. The history of the development of CAD is given, a description of theoretical methods implemented in modern commercial CAD. For explanation of theoretical calculations, the book provides practical examples that are important in design practice: antenna gratings, navigation systems, antenna systems on large metal buildings (aircraft, ships), etc. Shows examples of calculation of structures on several popular commercial modeling programs : Microwave Office AWR, HFSS ANSYS, FEKO EMSS, CST Suite.
The textbook is recommended for UMO RAI and is intended for students and graduate students studying in the direction of 210400 "Radio Engineering", as well as a wide range of specialists studying the design of microwave devices and methods for calculating electromagnetic fields in heterogeneous media
