The issues related to the connection of the main parameter determining the efficiency of metal cutting blades - the temperature in the cutting zone with the power consumption of the main drive of a lathe machine have been considered. The author's methodology for analyzing the cutting process and equipment as control objects is presented, and examples are solved using this methodology. The original structure of the automatic temperature control system in the cutting zone is examined, its modeling is carried out, and its static and dynamic properties are studied.
