Elderly surgical patient

In developed countries of the world, the number of such patients in surgical hospitals is about 40% of the total number of patients and is constantly growing, and such patients often observed combined pathologies.
Describes the features of the clinic and the flow of the main surgical diseases in people over 60 years old, and on the basis of experience and analysis of more than 2 thousand operations in older and old patients proposed optimal methods of treating the most common age surgical pathology: coronary angioplasty in ischemic heart disease , stenting of the narrowed carotid arteries, the mini-invasive treatment of varicose veins, laparoscopic and combined operations in gastroenterology, urology and proctology. It is shown that with adequate training and anesthesia in patients with elderly and senile age, any operations necessary for them are possible, including simultaneous in combined surgical pathology characteristic of these patients.
