The manual was prepared by the collective of the authors of the St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and the City Geriatric Medical and Social Center of St. Petersburg. It addresses mental and physical characteristics, the main diseases of the elderly, age-related changes of the organs and systems, the principles of organizing geriatric assistance to the population.
