Is there a more beloved person all over the world today than the Athos monk Paisius, who ceased to the Lord in 1994? In Russia, the attitude of Orthodox people towards the Svyatogorets resembles a love of his compatriot of God"s saint Nicholas. Who else knew how (and better about God"s ascetic to say: knows how to) speak with a modern person, so understand his weakness?
Everyone knows that the elder Paisius is a saint. But his name is not included in the Orthodox calendars.
Or do we not trust the joy that covers us with one mention of it?
In the approach of the general church glorification of the Monk, we devote to his memory our book, with a prayer appeal: Rev. Father Paisius, pray to God for us
