The book is a detailed manual for the modern theory of high-frequency elastic waves, known as a radial method or geometric acoustics. The basics of the dynamic theory of elasticity and the theory of flat and spherical waves are set. The radial method for bulk waves in isotropic and anisotropic media is presented in detail in the relea waves on the surface of an inhomogeneous anisotropic elastic body. An expression for the Berry phase is given. A lot of material that has not affected previously in monographs is considered: the theory of the wave s from the expansion center in an inhomogeneous medium, the radiation theory of the wave S *, anomalous polarization, proof of the existence of a relay wave in anisotropic half-space, etc. The training material is given by variational calculation, generalized functions, tensor Analysis necessary for a reader who does not have sufficient physico-mathematical training.
