Engr Memorial - Monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire of 1915. The emergence of the monument in 1965 was preceded by an architectural competition. This small book tells about the authors of competitive projects, the history of the competition, and its influence on the further fate of modern Armenian architecture. Very soon, after the construction of the Memorial, everything that related to the competition was forgotten or lost. Over the next fifty years, in fact, this was already an unknown competition. After half a century, a year of the century of the genocide, the author managed to find some important facts of competitive events, which today are an important addition to the history of the Armenian architecture of the twentieth century. Many architectural projects and sketches presented in the book are published for the first time. The book is recommended by architects, historians, art historians and a wide range of readers interested in the history of Soviet architecture
