The monograph was prepared by the Center for Youth Studies by the Higher School of Economics and Service of St. Petersburg based on the results of the collective project “Creative fields of interethnic interaction and youth cultural scenes of Russian cities” (2015–2017) The study was conducted among the youth of four cities (Kazan, Makhachkala, St. Petersburg and Ulyanovsk) using a whole complex of methods: students polling, deep interviews, focus groups, cases of the youth communities (vegan, Dark scenes, rappers, search engines, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers Female glamorous communities, workout groups, anime fans) To analyze subcultural, joint, scene norms and rules with gender, ethnic and religious regimes significant for a particular group, the authors introduce the category of “youth cultural scenes”.
