The chapters collected in this book turn to the connections between values and behavior from a culture point of view. They have a review of research conducted in various cultures, and culture is discussed as a moderator of the relationship between values and behavior. From the point of view of the structure, the first part of this book discusses what values are and how they should be measured, then the second part investigates the content of the relationship between values and behavior in different areas of life, including prosocial behavior, aggression, behavior in organizations and the formation of relationships . The third part investigates some of the modest processes that associate values with behavior. Taken together, these chapters are a review and synthesis of more than twenty years of study of values and behavior, and offer new ideas that have important consequences for both research and practice
